We place a lot of importance on creating an engaging environment for students that builds skills while allowing for open play, creativity, and exploration.
In the wake of Covid-19, we have converted the school to an outdoor school to protect the health and safety of students and teachers and provide the best environment for engagement, learning, and play. Our large outdoor classroom is designed to have dedicated zones for activities that build gross and fine motor skills, with covered areas for inclement weather, climbing structures, and an art studio. Our original indoor area will remain set up and accessible, but the majority of our day is spent outside.
Stumptown Kids is certified as an Eco-Healthy Child Care® center. We are also proud to be rated as a 4-Star Quality Program by Oregon's Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS).
